Portuguese tactician Ruben Amorim signs a two-and-a-half-year deal with Manchester United and prepares to lead the team against Chelsea.

The English club Manchester United has announced on its official media platforms the appointment of Portuguese trainer Ruben Amorim as their new head coach. The 39-year-old expert has signed a two-and-a-half-year agreement with the team, valid until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Amorim will take the reins of the Red Devils in the team's next match. On Sunday, November 3, Manchester United will host Chelsea at home in the tenth round of the English Premier League (EPL).

Ruud van Nistelrooy, who temporarily led the team after the dismissal of Erik ten Hag, will transition out of the role. Amorim's full assumption of responsibilities is set for November 11.
