Barcelona Targets Colombian Defender for Transfer

The Catalan club is interested

The Catalan club is interested in Jhon Lucumí to strengthen its defense.

"Barcelona" has set its sights on "Bologna's" and Colombia's national defensive player Jhon Lucumí. This player can strengthen the Catalan lineup, especially if Eric Garcia, Ronald Araujo, and Andreas Christensen leave the club. Consideration is also given to Inigo Martinez's experience, who is now 33 years old, making Lucumí's candidacy impressive from all angles.

Although Lucumí is not widely known, he earned an outstanding reputation in Italy and is considered one of the best in his position. His contract with "Bologna" is valid until 2026, and he has already appeared in 9 matches in the current Serie A season, providing one assist. His career also included stints at Belgium's "Genk" and Colombia's "Deportivo Cali".

It is planned that "Barcelona" will try to buy him out in winter, while they will have to compete with "Juventus," who is also showing interest in the Colombian defender.
