Dovbyk praised by Ranieri after match with "Atalanta"

Artem Dovbyk showed an impressive

Artem Dovbyk showed an impressive performance in the match against "Atalanta", though his team "Roma" lost 0:2. Claudio Ranieri praised his contribution and explained the reasons for the defeat.

In yesterday's Serie A clash against "Atalanta", Artem Dovbyk was substituted midway through the second half. His team eventually succumbed to a 0:2 loss. Despite the result, "Roma" coach Claudio Ranieri spoke highly of Dovbyk's performance.

"Dovbyk hadn't been training fully. He went to the national team but didn’t start due to some issues. Yesterday, he expressed uncertainty about playing, yet his match was outstanding," Ranieri summarized post-match.

He explained the causes of the loss in a rather unique way:

"With Dovbyk, we had the chance to take the initiative. Simply put, "Atalanta" is contending for the "scudetto"; they are ready. We are not. It’s simple. We play every four days, and there are no easy games."
