Raphael Varane: Finishing His Career at Manchester United and Moving to Como

Former defender Raphael Varane shared

Former defender Raphael Varane shared his dream to finish his career at Manchester United, but fate led him to the Italian Como after multiple injuries.

Raphael Varane, once a key defender for France, expressed in an interview with the press his desire to end his football career in the English team Manchester United. However, this plan remained unfulfilled.

According to him, the aspiration to conclude his professional journey with the Red Devils turned out to be unattainable, and instead, the former athlete opted for the Italian club Como. He mentioned he was seeking something special, but fate decreed otherwise.

“I ended my spell with Manchester United with an FA Cup victory, although I realized the team no longer counted on me,” added the Frenchman.

It's worth noting that Raphael Varane recently retired due to frequent injuries, with his last club being Italy's Como.
