Player of the "Azerbaijan" team Peritan Bozdag will miss two matches following a red card against "Portugal".
"UEFA" has sanctioned "Azerbaijani" national team player Peritan Bozdag by barring him from participating in two matches. The 25-year-old forward was penalized for a direct sending off in the second leg of the European Championship play-off, where his team lost to "Portugal" with a 0:4 score.
Reports state that "UEFA" considered the player's actions as "serious foul play". As a result of these sanctions, P. Bozdag will be unable to contribute to the national squad in the next two games under the "UEFA" banner.
It's worth noting that in the first match held in Baku, "Azerbaijan" also suffered a defeat to "Portugal", ending 1:4.
