Outcome of the "Rukh" and "Polesye" Clash: Draw in a Rescheduled Match

Football clubs "Rukh" and "Polesye" ended the match in a draw in a rescheduled game of the first round of UPL, extending their non-winning streak.

In the final clash of the first round of UPL, which was postponed due to "Polesye's" participation in European cup qualifiers, no winner was determined.

"Rukh" and "Polesye" have recently been seldom rewarding their fans with victories. The team from Zhytomyr came to Lviv having a streak of matches without wins. And as the title suggests, it extended this streak to one more match.

The first half turned into a frankly boring spectacle. The opponents collectively made only three shots. The two most dangerous ones came in a short period when the visitors executed two corner kicks. However, Ledviy expertly deflected shots by Vialle and Sarapii.

The second half kicked off with a goal, when at the 49th minute Klymchuk intercepted the ball and passed it to Karabin, who shot into the far corner of the net. This spurred the visitors to step up their attack, but it didn't lead to serious threats to Ledviy's goal.

At the 81st minute, "Polesye" managed to equalize thanks to Gutsulyak, who drove down the right flank, hit the ball between the defenders, and pierce the net with a low shot - 1:1.

On Monday, the teams will continue their contest, this time in Zhytomyr.
