Arsenal vs Fulham: Two Points Dropped at Craven Cottage

Arsenal led by Mikel Arteta

Arsenal, led by Mikel Arteta, missed out on a chance to close the gap with Liverpool after a draw with Fulham.

''Arsenal'' faced frustration against ''Fulham'', ending the match with a 1-1 draw, a setback in their title chase, halting their four-game winning streak.

With ''Liverpool's'' game at ''Everton'' postponed due to weather, Mikel Arteta's men had the chance to close in on the league leaders by defeating ''Fulham''.

However, reminiscent of last season, they were held back by ''Fulham'', forced to settle for a draw, as Bukayo Saka's seeming last-minute winner was ruled offside by VAR.

The visitors dominated early, but were stunned by a quick breakaway when Kenny Tete sent Raul Jimenez through, and the Mexican striker skillfully converted past Jakub Kiwior.

''Arsenal'' continued to dictate much of the first half but seldom troubled the staunch ''Fulham'' defense, with Saka's testing of Bernd Leno being the closest after a solo run into the box.

An equalizer came early in the second half from an Arsenal set piece. This time, William Saliba finished by deflecting Kai Havertz's header following a Declan Rice corner.

''Arsenal'' pushed for a winner thereafter, with Thomas Partey missing a golden chance to make it 2-1, before Saka thought he had scored only for the goal to be disallowed due to Gabriel Martinelli's offside in the buildup.
