Shymkent's "Ordabasy" Prepares for New Achievements

"Ordabasy" outlines plans for the upcoming season and stadium enhancements

The head of Shymkent's department of physical culture and employment, Maratbek Mykytybekov, shared the primary goal of the team "Ordabasy" for the forthcoming season and announced the planned enhancements to the home stadium.

The budget for "Ordabasy" in 2025 is set at 3.2 billion tenge. The city administration hopes that players will not only delight fans with an excellent game but also become champions. Maratbek Mykytybekov emphasized: "We are responsible for the results. Our goal is to win the title. There is also funding for local players and youth sports development. We aim to achieve great results."

The administration assures that the main stadium will become convenient again with sponsorship support. The old covering will be replaced with natural turf and an automatic irrigation system. Mykytybekov added: "The new turf cannot be watered in the heat, so a special nighttime irrigation system is provided. Such technology has already been tested in Almaty and Kostanay. We will update the stadium and ensure comfortable conditions."

In 2023, "Ordabasy" was crowned the champion of Kazakhstan for the first time in its history, though they conceded the title last season to "Kairat," finishing in fourth place.
