The answer will be unveiled on Monday at the prestigious 2024 CAF Awards ceremony to be held at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco, starting at 19h00 local time (18h00 GMT/ 20h00 Cairo time/ 21h00 East African time).
After a rigorous selection process, the final three nominees for the Women's Player of the Year have been announced, with Zambian striker “Barbra Banda”, Moroccan forward “Sanaa Mssoudy”, and Nigerian goalkeeper “Chiamaka Nnadozie” still in contention for the crown.
These three exceptional athletes have showcased their talents over the year, embodying the excellence and dedication that place them at the forefront of African football.
BARBRA BANDA (ZAMBIA)Club: “Orlando Pride,” United States
The year 2024 has been momentous for the “Copper Queens” of Zambia, driven by remarkable feats. During the Paris Olympic Games, Banda, at 24, made history as the first player to net a third hat-trick in Olympic history, with prior outstanding displays three years ago in Japan.
