Iranian Club Interested in Talks with Cherchesov

Persepolis shows interest in head

Persepolis responds to rumors about talks with Kazakhstan's coach Cherchesov.

The Iranian club "Persepolis" responded to circulating rumors about potential collaboration with Kazakhstan's head coach, Stanislav Cherchesov. It was reported by journalist Anar Ibragimov that there was interest in Cherchesov, currently leading the Kazakhstan team.

Due to the team's unsuccessful performances, there are suggestions that the former Russian national team's coach might be dismissed. A representative from the "Persepolis"' press office highlighted that, although interest in this specialist existed, no official offer was made by the club.

It's noteworthy that "Persepolis" holds an AFC cup from 1991 and has been a three-time finalist of the tournament in 1993, 2018, and 2020.

Cherchesov is also interested in a promising Kazakh player from the Russian Premier League.
