Li Tie, the former coach of the "China National Team", was judicially found guilty of corruption and sentenced to a twenty-year prison term. The accusations are linked to him receiving over 120 million Chinese yuan between 2015 and 2021.
Li Tie held the position of head coach of the "China National Team" from 2019 to 2021. This court case has stirred public interest and highlighted issues of corruption within football.
It's worth noting that earlier, the former general secretary of the Chinese Football Association (CFA), Liu Yin, was also sentenced to eleven years in prison for bribery.
