Rodrigao Reflects on a Match Between Russian and RPL Foreigners Teams

Brazilian defender of «Zenit» Rodrigao shares thoughts on the possibility of a special match between the Russian national team and the RPL foreigners.

Brazil's «Zenit» defender Rodrigao discussed with the channel's representative the idea of sacrificing his day off to participate in a match where the Russian team would face a squad of RPL foreigners.

Recently, the concept of such a game during championship breaks was introduced. Rodrigao noted that organizing such a match requires thorough planning since there has been no prior experience of this kind. He expressed confidence that such a game could be highly engaging and action-packed, as many RPL players are top-level professionals.

«I'm sure that if the match were to happen, both teams would showcase an incredible level. Professionals of global caliber play here, and it would be great if such a game takes place someday,» stressed Rodrigao, highlighting the comfort that foreigners feel in Russia.

When asked about his personal willingness to give up his days off, Rodrigao responded that while he enjoys spending free days with his family, discussing participation in such an event is quite plausible.

Considering potential coaches who could lead the foreigners' team, Rodrigao noted that the RPL has many mentors well-versed in understanding various cultures' mentalities.

This Friday, October 18, in the 12th round of the RPL, «Zenit» will face «Akron». The game starts at 17:50 Moscow time.
