«Rukh» Defeats «Karpaty» in a Thrilling Cup Clash

«Rukh» confidently took down «Karpaty» in a tense match, advancing to the tournament quarterfinals.

Recently, in a Ukrainian championship encounter, the teams «Rukh» and «Karpaty» faced off on the field. Last time, the triumph went to the Lviv club with a narrow 1-0 win. However, prior to the cup clash, experts leaned towards «Rukh», and their predictions came true.

On home turf, the hosts confidently held the initiative, creating multiple dangerous moments, though they lacked finishing. In response, «Karpaty» also attempted to attack, but due to inaccurate passes and strikes, as well as the excellent performance of «Rukh's» goalkeeper, they failed to score.

An unexpected goal became decisive: Pidgursky, coming in as a substitute, struck powerfully almost into the corner from a distance of 25 meters, putting «Rukh» ahead. The remaining time was insufficient for «Karpaty», despite their subsequent attacks on the opponent's goal.
