Legendary central midfielder of "Real" Luka Modric may leave the club next summer upon his contract's expiration. The likelihood of extending a contract with the Croatian player is quite low, so the Madrid club is actively searching for a replacement in the transfer market.
The prime candidate for Modric's position is considered to be the talented player from "Inter," Nicolo Barella. The Italian team estimates their leader at 80 million euros (approximately 41 billion tenge), but "Real" manager Florentino Perez insists that the deal can be concluded for around 60 million.
This season, Barella has played 13 matches for "Inter," highlighting his one goal and several assists. Transfermarkt experts also confirm his market value at 80 million euros, indicating high recognition. Modric has been defending "Real" colors since 2012 and is the most awarded player in the club's history, having secured six Champions League victories and the "Golden Ball."
