Will "Valencia" have Sadiq available for the crucial game against "Real Sociedad"?

"Valencia" faces a tough decision on whether the striker Umar Sadiq will be available for the upcoming clash with "Real Sociedad" on Sunday. The forward, part of the "Super Eagles", moved on loan to "Valencia" from "Real Sociedad" in early January, with an option to make the transfer permanent.

Since joining, Sadiq has appeared twice for "Los Ches", marking his second outing with a goal as "Valencia" triumphed 2-0 over "Ourense" in a Copa del Rey match, ending a personal ten-month goal drought.

However, the 27-year-old may not be available to face his parent club due to a "fear clause" in his contract that prohibits him from playing against "Real Sociedad".

This clause, common in loan agreements, is intended to protect the interests of the parent team against competition from their own player in official matches. To have Sadiq eligible for selection, "Valencia" would need to pay a fee between €200,000 and €300,000, a decision under consideration by the club.

Sadiq joined the San Sebastián side two years ago for a €20 million fee but struggled to secure a regular starting spot with the Basque club. Reports from Spain suggest that "Valencia" and "Real Sociedad" have agreed on a possible transfer fee of €10 million, contingent on the forward's successful performances at "Mestalla".
