Barcelona Retains Top Spot in Dramatic Clash with Celta

Barcelona maintains its lead despite a draw against Celta in La Liga. The Catalans were ahead by two goals but lost the advantage due to defensive mistakes.

Barcelona failed to emerge victorious in a competitive La Liga game against Celta, with a final score of 2:2. The 14th round match took place in Vigo and ended in a tense draw. The Catalan team was leading 2:0 by the 61st minute but couldn't hold onto their advantage, allowing the hosts to equalize. This was in part due to a red card.

Defender Jules Kounde took the blame for the missed victory. He noted: "I take responsibility for the loss, as my mistake had a direct impact on the result. I regret this very much, my concentration level was insufficient, and that became a key factor."

Currently, Barcelona continues to lead La Liga with 34 points, while Real, in third place with 27 points, has two games in hand. Celta sits in 11th place with 18 points. In the next 15th round, which will take place on November 30, Barcelona will host Las Palmas, while Celta will travel to face Espanyol.
