Man Utd Manager Ruben Amorim Prioritizes Finding a New Striker by January

Ruben Amorim of Man Utd acknowledges the need for a new striker to correct the course by January.

Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim has made locating a new striker a priority, and according to a club insider, this issue will be addressed in January.

The "Red Devils" have had a poor start to the new Premier League season, sitting 12th in the table following Amorim's debut match against "Ipswich" on Sunday.

Amorim's squad could only manage a 1-1 draw at Portman Road, experimenting with a new 3-4-3 formation under their new coach. Concerns arise that Man Utd lack the players necessary to execute Amorim's style and tactics.

The new "Red Devils" boss himself remarked that Marcus Rashford might be better played wide instead of the center, where he was positioned in the weekend match.

Only "Everton", "Crystal Palace", and "Southampton" have scored fewer goals this season than Man Utd, with Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, and Joshua Zirkzee scoring four times combined.

Former chief scout Mick Brown revealed the lack of goals for the "Red Devils" will be addressed in January. Brown expressed to Football Insider: "It's very much considered a weakness in the team. I know there have been questions on whether Hojlund or Zirkzee are fit for the role of leading strikers.

Every appearance they make presents them more like trialists rather than starting strikers for "Man United". As for Marcus Rashford, you never know what performance to expect. He's certain to have the ability to lead the line, but whether he possesses the passion for it remains questionable. But that's a segment of the team needing remedy and an area earmarked for recruitment.

Everything you do is focused on your front man, that's going to be the priority. Amorim has already singled this out as one of the weaknesses in the United squad, highlighted in the game against "Ipswich" and set for correction by January.

Sky Germany reported four strikers in discussion as potential attacking reinforcements for United. Among them are Victor Boniface from "Bayer Leverkusen", Omar Marmoush from "Eintracht Frankfurt", Victor Osimhen from "Napoli", and Randal Kolo Muani from "Paris Saint-Germain".

Kolo Muani is poised to leave "PSG", as he sees limited playtime, with a winter loan or even sale favored for a substantial offer. Marmoush is an "Eintracht Frankfurt" figure of interest for United, at a cost of 50-60 million Euros.

United will need to allocate extensive funds to persuade "Leverkusen" to part with Boniface in January, while Osimhen, currently on loan at "Galatasaray" from "Napoli", likely appears to be the most notable striking solution for United as the Italians remain open to offers.
