"Kaisar" grabs the spotlight with the goalkeeper setting save records in CPL-2024.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper from "Kaisar" played in all 24 rounds of the championship without a miss, setting a new record for CPL-2024 in terms of saves. Before moving to "Kaisar", he defended the colors of "Akzhayyk" from Uralsk.

A correspondent from a national internet portal spoke with the player to discuss the results of "Kaisar"'s performance in CPL-2024, highlight the best players of the season, and share future plans.

— How would you rate "Kaisar"'s performance in the current CPL season? What grades would you assign for the season?

— Overall, the season wasn't bad, but I believe that under certain conditions, we could have performed better! If the start was more successful and we gained points in September, we could have contended for a spot in European competitions. Unfortunately, objective factors influenced the final outcome. Personally, I rate our performance at "four minus".

— What about your personal evaluation for the season? This is the second year that you've played in all league matches.

— Personally, the season went well for me. Coaches and experts will evaluate my game, but I'm glad to have gone through the season without major mistakes. Of course, there were impressive matches! I strive to play even better and will prepare for this in the next season. I approach each game with maximum effort, and being chosen by the management speaks volumes. Thanks to the coaching staff of "Kaisar" led by Viktor Kumykov for their trust.

— How are things with salary and bonus debt payments? Are there any improvements?

— The debt to the team hasn't been paid off yet. We're promised it'll be settled by the New Year.

— When does your contract expire? Do you plan to continue playing for "Kaisar"?

— Discussed post-season prospects with Viktor Balyutovich about further cooperation. We plan to discuss it more thoroughly during the December meetings. If there are offers from leading Kazakh teams, of course, I'll discuss them with Viktor Kumykov. I'm sure we'll find a solution suitable for everyone.

— Which CPL player has the most dangerous shots?

— I'd first highlight Askat Tagybergen. It's not just the power of his shots, but also how he conceals them. He approaches the ball the same way, whether for a shot, a pass, or a long delivery! Therefore, as a goalkeeper, it's quite challenging for me to guess his next move. Joao Paulo and Gheorghe Zaria also possess impressive shots. Even knowing their shooting style, handling their attacks is challenging. I'll also mention our captain, Duman Narzildaev, who's tough to face, but it's good he's on our team and isn't attacking my goal in matches.

— Who do you think is the best player in CPL-2024?

— This year, Islam Chesnokov showed incredible brilliance, and Gheorghe Zaria pleasantly surprised, confirming his skills in CPL. Marin Tomasov always shows high class annually. I believe this trio deserves to be named the best!

— You’ve been living in Kazakhstan for over three years. How has the country struck you domestically in this time?

— Domestically, Kazakhstan turned out to be a comfortable country, except for games during the cold season in northern regions. I don't like the cold! During my time here, I've made many friends who always assist with domestic issues.

— Share your upcoming plans?

— Currently on vacation with family in Moldova. Planning to dedicate all my time to my family and kids because during the season, we don't spend much time together. I've also started preparing for the new season by trying new sports areas. Staying close to sports!
