Ruud van Nistelrooy is on the verge of being appointed as the new manager of Leicester's team.

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the 48-year-old specialist has reached an agreement with the 'Foxes' for collaboration, and currently, all documents are in the signing phase.

On November 24, Leicester officially announced the departure of former coach Steve Cooper. The next day, reports emerged about the start of negotiations with van Nistelrooy for his potential appointment.

From October 28 to November 11, the Dutch specialist temporarily served as the interim head coach of Manchester United. During this time, Leicester faced off against the Mancunians twice, losing both matches (2:5 and 0:3).

After 12 rounds, the 'Foxes' occupy the 16th position in the table with 10 points.
