Ruud van Nistelrooy Plans to Sign 'Manchester United' Stars to Save 'Leicester City'

Ruud van Nistelrooy aims to

Ruud van Nistelrooy aims to leverage his connections to bring young talents from 'Manchester United', aiding 'Leicester City' in avoiding relegation.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is eager to bolster 'Leicester City' by acquiring players from his former club 'Manchester United', describing one as an 'extraordinary' talent seen as a 'key asset' in averting the club's relegation.

Having recently joined 'United' as an assistant coach, van Nistelrooy departed following the arrival of Rube Amorim, after a brief stint as interim manager.

While at the helm of the 'Red Devils', the former striker defeated 'Leicester' twice before being appointed as the 'Foxes' manager, securing a 3-1 victory over 'West Ham' in his inaugural match on Tuesday.

Despite the victory, his team was under pressure for most of the game, and this week, van Nistelrooy confirmed he would have funds available in January.

He stated: “We had discussions about that (transfers) in London before I signed. We talked about the winter window, and also plans for the summer.”

He continued: “We also agreed there is no rush. The squad is now presented with a chance to prove itself this month, providing a great opportunity for evaluation and decision-making in January.”

Reports indicate that van Nistelrooy is focused on 'United' academy graduate Toby Collyer, who impressed with his 'extraordinary running metrics' during training, earning a senior debut in the Community Shield loss to 'Manchester City' in August.

Van Nistelrooy intends to leverage his contacts at 'Old Trafford' to sign the 20-year-old midfielder, who joined from 'Brighton' two years ago.

The 'United' management is not keen on selling Collyer but might consider a loan, especially knowing he would get first-team opportunities.

Collyer also replaced Casemiro at half-time during a match against 'Liverpool', impressing former 'Red Devils' players working for MUTV.

Former defender David May commented: “It was a lot of pressure for the young lad, but he handled himself brilliantly.”

Phil Bardsley agreed, adding: “To come into such a fixture, being two goals down, it shows the manager's trust in young players. He held his own, showed confidence on the field in a challenging scenario.”
