Semifinal in Almaty: "Astana" Hosts "Chelsea"

On December 12, the city of Almaty will host the fifth round of the UEFA Europa Conference League, where "Astana" will welcome the London team "Chelsea". To accommodate spectators, city authorities have decided to restrict traffic on some streets.

The official statement mentions that stadium entry will open two and a half hours before the kickoff. Spectators are advised to arrive at the Central Stadium in advance to avoid overcrowding at the entrance and to use public transportation to prevent congestion. Entrance will be available from 6:00 PM.

From 6:30 PM to midnight on December 12, traffic will be restricted on Abay Avenue (between Baitursynov and Mukanov streets). Satbayev Street (from Baitursynov to Bayzakov) will be completely closed, with patrol police present on adjacent streets.

To combat ticket scalping, fans will be allowed entry with personalized tickets only. On match day, shuttles will be organized from various city locations for fan convenience. City authorities have arranged eight free routes, each serviced by ten buses. Information on pickup locations can be found via the 2GIS service.

For example, buses will depart from Kalkaman and Orbita districts and stop at "Halyk Arena" and Almaty-1 train station, heading to the Central Stadium. Shuttle services will commence operation at 4:00 PM and leave as they fill up.

It is worth noting that "Astana" is playing all their home matches in Almaty this season as "Astana Arena" is undergoing renovations since December 2023. The fixture begins at 8:30 PM local time.
