Head coach Mladen Bartulovich of "Zarya" shares insights on the crucial win over "Chernomorets" and the upcoming offseason plans.

The head coach of "Zarya" from Lugansk, Mladen Bartulovich, expressed his thoughts on the victory against "Chernomorets" on Saturday and revealed the upcoming winter plans. "I congratulate the team on a valuable and hard-fought triumph. We prepared for this match throughout the week, understanding its importance for us. At times it was pressuring, especially after we scored. The opponents had control at some point. In such matches, it is crucial to double the score. We almost did it with a chance for Korablin. After a goal from "Chernomorets", we managed to regroup and seize victory," noted the coach. He also emphasized, "today is our Balkan day," and thanked all the players for their play and fighting spirit.

At the beginning of the match, it was evident that controlling the ball was critical, especially considering the pitch's condition and weather. As soon as we took the ball, we scored. We had more chances but did not capitalize on them. Creating moments on such a field is crucial. I think the game was interesting, both teams wanted to win. Today we won, and it was deserved.

"Considering the weather conditions in December, should the championship end earlier and continue in spring after a short break?" he was asked. Bartulovich replied: "I believe it's possible. However, many teams play in European competitions, and they need a tighter schedule in the fall. In spring, it's different, you can play more often. As a player, I always preferred playing over training, it's easier. But such games are a privilege not only for us. Other teams played yesterday, and today too. The main thing is that we have the opportunity to play even during wartime. We're preparing for the second half of the season."

When asked if he would continue with "Zarya", Bartulovich said: "We will have a conversation with the club's president, and we'll discuss everything." Regarding who might leave "Zarya" in winter, he noted: "Benito and Ndura will certainly leave. We will continue to negotiate with other players."

There was also a question about the possible return of players on loan from "Dynamo" to the Kiev team. "Anything can happen, we hope they all stay with us," Bartulovich answered.

On the question of which position needs strengthening, the coach stated: "Strengthening is needed in every part. Competition is necessary; it fosters progress, especially among young players."
