Kevin Kelsy returns to Shakhtar

Kevin Kelsy shares his thoughts on returning to "Shakhtar" after an eventful year in "Cincinnati". The young talent aims to unleash his full potential on a new level.

The striker of "Shakhtar" Kevin Kelsy shared his opinion on returning after a loan in "Cincinnati".

Recall that within the team of the MLS club, the young footballer played 29 matches over the year, scoring six times.

“I am incredibly happy to be part of our team again and to meet everyone, - Kelsy admitted. - I hope to bring even more benefits in the coming year, to increase playing time, and to please our fans.

The loan provided me with a lot of useful experience, I learned a lot. In the USA, the league is entirely different, with unique challenges. However, I am confident that I gained valuable knowledge that I will apply at "Shakhtar". I am excited to participate in team training again and only expect positive moments ahead.

Playing in the USA reawakened my lost sense of being a full participant in the game - reminding me how the ball and field look. I am convinced it was a crucial step for my emotional state. Last year's achievements were very productive.

Certainly, playing in Europe and UPL, scoring goals becomes more challenging, but I have enough skills and practice to continue my scoring trend at "Shakhtar".

Notably, Kelsy's move to "Shakhtar" occurred on January 31, 2023, from Boston River, with a transfer fee of 1 million euros. He has 37 matches, 9 goals, and 3 assists in the "orange-blacks" squad. The player's contract is valid until December 31, 2027.
