Randal Kolo Muani to "Manchester United": A Chance to Replace Marcus Rashford?

Randal Kolo Muani and Marcus

Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani could become a replacement for Manchester United player Marcus Rashford.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani has been suggested as a potential alternative for the unwanted Manchester United player Marcus Rashford. Reportedly, the French international Muani is no longer needed at his current club, which hopes to sell him in January.

In 2023, he moved to Paris Saint-Germain from Eintracht Frankfurt for a significant sum, a year after a free transfer from FC Nantes. However, his return to his homeland has not been entirely smooth. Last season, he finished with nine goals in forty games across all competitions, and the current one started with two goals in fourteen matches.

Coach Luis Enrique rarely started him due to poor scoring form, and it's suggested that he may exit the club in January. Premier League clubs Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle have shown interest in Muani and might make an offer next month. A loan exit is also not ruled out, with transfer journalist Pete O'Rourke suggesting Muani could replace Marcus Rashford, who is available for £50 million.

"One of the names to watch in January is definitely Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain," O'Rourke said. "There is no place for him at his French club, and they are ready to let him go. Could he be Rashford's replacement at Manchester United if he leaves?"

Muani can play both wide and in the center, and he would definitely add dynamism to Manchester United's attacking ranks. Although things didn't work out for him at PSG, he remains a prolific player with good experience for the French national team.

O'Rourke added that many Premier League clubs will watch Muani in January, and he could become an unexpected addition for "Manchester United" or someone similar. Asked if Victor Osimhen could be an option for "Red Devils", O'Rourke replied that "Chelsea" had been working hard to sign him.

"If there's a clause in his contract that allows him to be recalled to "Napoli" and sold, I don't think "Chelsea" urgently needs him as Nicolas Jackson has performed well this season," added O'Rourke. "But "Manchester United" really needs a scoring player if they offload Marcus Rashford. Victor Osimhen could become their target."

It was also mentioned that "Arsenal" previously showed interest in Osimhen. Could Mikel Arteta gamble on the Nigerian to boost his team in the title race? He is certainly an attractive target as Premier League interest in Osimhen remains for the second season. If there's a chance to acquire him at a reduced price in January, many top clubs will pay attention.
