Marcus Rashford for Victor Osimhen Swap Deal with Napoli

Marcus Rashford of Manchester United

Manchester United could offer Rashford in a swap deal for Napoli's Osimhen this month, which may be a surprise.

Reports suggest "Manchester United" are ready to part ways with Marcus Rashford as part of an unexpected exchange with "Napoli", competitors in Serie A. Rashford has indicated his desire to leave "United" and could exit his boyhood club in the current transfer window.

The 27-year-old striker has faced significant criticism for his lackluster performances over the last 18 months as his form and attitude have drastically deteriorated since his achievements in the 2022/23 season when he netted 30 goals across all tournaments.

Although linked to various clubs across Europe and the Saudi Pro League, his poor form limits his prospects for intriguing offers. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano updated the status of Rashford, stating the player is fully inclined towards moving to a European club.

He stated: "Rashford will not be in the squad facing "Liverpool" due to illness, preventing him from traveling and playing. Yet, the situation between "United" and the footballer remains unresolved."

The relationship between Amorim and Rashford remains tense due to training performance and other factors, hence his departure remains possible. Marcus Rashford as of now expresses no interest in considering options from Saudi Arabia, but we'll see how this plays out in the coming weeks. He believes European competition is the perfect stage for him, despite some offers from Saudis.

Reports from Spain claim "Manchester United" are getting creative in finding a new home for Rashford, who will be "offered" to "Napoli" in a "swap deal" involving Victor Osimhen.

Under Antonio Conte's guidance, "Napoli" shows interest in Rashford, which might facilitate a strategically beneficial deal. Conte appreciates the English forward's speed and scoring potential, while "United" needs a goal-scorer like Osimhen, who has excelled in Turkey, securing 12 goals and five assists over just 15 games.

The main obstacle lies in the financial terms of the deal, where Osimhen's release clause, priced at £62 million, could escalate discussions, but the interest from both teams and "United"'s need to reduce their wage bill might pave the way for the swap.
