Former CSKA defender, Oleg Kornaukhov, announced on 'Match TV' that he is pleasantly surprised by the position of Lokomotiv's midfielder Alexey Batrakov among the top RPL scorers. After sixteen rounds, the maximum number of goals, 12, belongs to Spartak's Manfred Ugalde. Following him is Lokomotiv's Alexey Batrakov with 10 goals. John Cordoba from Krasnodar and Mirlind Daku from Rubin have each scored 8 times. Zenit's midfielder Maxim Glushenkov has seven goals to his credit.
Kornaukhov noted: 'Glushenkov showed good effectiveness, but an injury interfered. Ugalde is now consistently scoring, including poker. Cordoba is among the best forwards. Batrakov, on the other hand, impresses with his play. Cordoba, Daku, and Ugalde are expectedly productive, but Batrakov, at such a young age, impresses with his stability.'
