Strengthening Defense for 'Spartak': Thoughts by Andrey Semenov

Andrey Semenov discusses the need

Andrey Semenov believes 'Spartak' needs to enhance their defense ahead of the season's second half.

Former Russian national team player Andrey Semenov expressed that Moscow's 'Spartak' needs reinforcement in their defensive line ahead of the second part of the season. Currently, 'Spartak' has amassed 37 points in 18 matches, holding the third position in the MIR RPL standings.

The team secured wins in six matches before the winter league break. Semenov remarked, "I believe 'Spartak' requires a boost. The attack is more or less stable, but the defensive ranks could be strengthened. Certainly, some enhancements are necessary.

When Stankovich first joined, I was skeptical about Ryabchuk, Ugalde, and Duarte. Yet, they all impressed. It seems to be the coach's work revealing their potential."
