Ex-Spartak player Denis Glushakov mentioned Zenit's weak performance in the championship, suggesting that the team is undergoing a generational change.

Former Spartak midfielder Denis Glushakov shared his opinion on Zenit's performance in the current Russian championship.

During a podcast, he expressed disappointment in the current form of the Saint Petersburg team, stating that they no longer resemble their former selves. The midfielder suggested that perhaps the club is experiencing a generational shift.

"Maybe the foreign players are tired from playing too much. I know Semak's ambitions; he's certainly going to come up with something this winter. There might be a reshuffle, and new players could join the team," Glushakov summed up.

As of today, the club under Sergei Semak's leadership continues to hold the top position in the Russian Premier League standings, followed by "Krasnodar" and "Lokomotiv".
