Slots for the eagerly awaited CAF African Schools Football Championship Finals are steadily filling up as Africa’s biggest youth competition approaches its continental finals set for 2025.
Following the victories of "South Africa" in the COSAFA Zonal Qualifiers in both Boys and Girls categories, the WAFU B Zone recently concluded its Zonal Qualifiers in Niger, with "Cote d'Ivoire" crowned champions in the Boys' division, while "Ghana" will represent the Girls'.
After two successful seasons, the CAF African Schools Football Championship is back in full swing, with thousands of boys and girls under 15 vying for a spot in the continental finals across CAF’s six Zonal Unions.
The CAF African Schools Football Championship is a world-first and continues to set trends as the only youth competition with such a wide reach, involving over 800,000 African boys and girls this season.
As with prior editions, CAF has worked closely with its Zonal Unions to run capacity building programs alongside the qualifiers, where aspiring coaches, referees, young reporters, and medics all received development training.
