Famed former Moscow Spartak player Yuriy Nikiforov expressed his opinion on the team's prospects in the current campaign.

He noted that the team is in excellent shape and will continue to compete fiercely. The expert emphasized that if the championship continues, Spartak players might hold their own against Zenit competitors.

"Overcoming a five-point gap is feasible. The issue lies in foreign coaches often not understanding the winter break. However, I'm confident Stankovich understands the club's situation," Nikiforov added in a video on the Spartak Show channel.
