Cristiano Ronaldo expresses pride for Portugal's role in the 2030 global tournament. Matches will span three continents.

The forward of the Portuguese national team and "Al-Nassr" club, Cristiano Ronaldo, shared his thoughts on FIFA's groundbreaking decision for the locations of the 2030 global tournament.

The tournament will, for the first time, link three continents and six countries, creating a monumental worldwide celebration. "A dream has come true: Portugal will host part of the global tournament in 2030, filling us with pride. Together!" — expressed the 39-year-old forward on his social media account.

The 2030 Championship matches will take place in Portugal, Spain, and Morocco, with the opening game held in Uruguay — the country where the first-ever tournament occurred a hundred years ago. Additionally, the teams of Argentina and Paraguay will kick off their group stage games on home ground.

It's notable that an unconventional method was used to select the host countries for the 2030 and 2034 global tournaments. At the congress of the International Federation today, December 11, Saudi Arabia was also approved as the host for the 2034 tournament.
