Liverpool surpasses Real Madrid and Barcelona in the race to sign River Plate's young talent, Franco Mastantuono. He has already attracted the attention of many clubs with his performances in the Primera Division.

"Liverpool" has moved ahead of "Real Madrid" and "Barcelona" in the race to sign the young prodigy from "River Plate" – Franco Mastantuono, according to sources. The "Reds" have started the new Premier League season on a high note, currently leading the table with 11 victories from their first 14 games.

Arne Slot couldn't have wished for a better start after leaving "Feyenoord" to take over "Liverpool" in the summer, succeeding the legendary Jurgen Klopp. Slot’s side currently holds a four-point lead over second-placed "Chelsea" and an eight-point advantage over defending champions "Manchester City", with a game in hand against both those teams as well as "Arsenal".

"Liverpool" has made only one signing for the current squad, bringing in Federico Chiesa from "Juventus", while Giorgi Mamardashvili joined from "Valencia" before heading back to the Spanish side on loan for the season. However, reports indicate they are keen to strengthen in the winter transfer window and beyond, with claims from Spain suggesting that the Premier League club is pulling ahead of "Barcelona" and "Real Madrid" in the race for Mastantuono.

The 17-year-old has played 33 times for the Argentine giants over the past year, attracting numerous clubs tracking his development at the "Primera Division" side. It is said that Slot makes a "splash" in the transfer market, with Liverpool making an offer for the Argentinian that "not only represents a record for such a young player but also provides Mastantuono with the opportunity to develop in one of the most competitive leagues in the world".

Another player linked with "Liverpool" is "Bournemouth" left-back Milos Kerkez, with former "Reds" defender Stephen Warnock reckoning the Premier League star could be a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson.

“I think "Liverpool" will be looking at a new left-back regardless of Robertson's age. He was superb against "Girona" and will no doubt want to fight for his place, but I still believe the club will try and add another player in that position," said Warnock.
