The former Kazakhstan national team coach, Magomed Adiev, shared his thoughts in an interview with allprosport regarding the results of the World Cup 2026 qualifiers draw. He also expressed his views on the future of the current head coach, Stanislav Cherchesov.

The Kazakhstan national team is set to compete in a group with "Liechtenstein", "North Macedonia", "Wales", and "Belgium". Adiev emphasized that evaluating the team's chances is a task for the current coach, who knows his team and their potential very well. Undoubtedly, he noted that "Belgium" is a strong opponent, but all teams have already mastered the game at a high level. At the same time, he expressed hope that Kazakhstan will demonstrate competitiveness and stated that he will sincerely support the team.

Regarding the possible departure of Cherchesov, Adiev noted that such changes always affect the team. However, the decision should be made by Cherchesov and the new federation president, and he wished that it would be the right one for both parties.
