Maxim Demenko commented on who might become the top player of the first part of the Russian Premier League season.

Former "Zenit" and "Spartak" player Maxim Demenko discussed who deserves the title of the best player for the first half of the Russian Premier League season. "Zenit" player Maxim Glushenkov scored eight goals and made two assists in 10 RPL matches. However, he missed eight games due to injury.

"Lokomotiv" midfielder Alexei Batrakov recorded 10 goals and six assists in 17 games. Maxim Glushenkov commented: “In the first part of the RPL, I liked Batrakov. A Russian youngster who is progressing rapidly. If not for Glushenkov’s injury, he could have been named the best. However, Batrakov showed leadership qualities over 17 games and was invited to the Russian national team; we constantly talk about him.”
