Dmytro Babelyuk Analyzes Doping Scandal with Mykhailo Mudryk

Renowned Ukrainian doctor Dmytro Babelyuk

Renowned Ukrainian doctor Dmytro Babelyuk discussed the implications of the doping issue involving Mykhailo Mudryk.

Dmytro Babelyuk, a respected medical expert from Ukraine, shared his initial thoughts regarding the doping scandal involving "Mykhailo Mudryk" on his telegram channel.

He immediately clarified that no conclusions will be drawn until official information is received, and the substance in question is disclosed. The doctor explains: "During urine collection for doping testing, the sample is divided into two parts: A and B. This is done to protect the player's rights. If sample A returns a positive result, the athlete can request sample B to be checked. If both samples are positive, it confirms a breach of anti-doping regulations. However, if sample B is negative, the case is closed."

In case of confirmed non-compliance, the player faces a four-year ban. In exceptional circumstances, where innocence is proven, it may be reduced to two years.

Key rule: the player is fully accountable for all substances found in their body, even if taken unintentionally.

Awaiting official statements, though the situation appears dire.
