The "Central African Republic" achieved a historic first qualification by overcoming "Cameroon" in a remarkable 2-1 comeback in Bafoussam. Despite Angel Yondjo Matah's early goal in the 31st minute for Cameroon, Barry Nelson's penalty leveled the score, before Bertillon Arnold Yangana sealed the victory in the 87th minute.

"Central African Republic" ousted one of the 2021 semi-finalists, Cameroon, who failed to qualify for the seventh consecutive edition.

The "Stallions" held their nerve to convert four spot-kicks against "Elephants’" two, ensuring their participation in CHAN 2024.

"DR Congo" maintained their stronghold at home, securing a 3-1 victory over "Chad" in Kinshasa, thus clinching their spot for the tournament in February. Oscar Kabwit gave "Leopards" an early lead, with Jonathan Mokonzi and Nyembo Ntumba sealing the win in the second half after "Chad" briefly equalized with a goal from Ahmat Abdraman.

Elsewhere, "Guinea" confirmed their dominance over "Guinea-Bissau" with a 2-1 away win, completing a 6-2 aggregate victory. Goals from Mohamed Saliou Bangoura and Naby Bangoura ensured "Guinea’s" qualification under coach Souleymane Camara Abedy.

In Uyo, "Nigeria’s local Super Eagles" achieved a significant 3-1 victory over "Ghana’s Black Galaxies" to secure their qualification. Quick goals from Sadiq Ismail, Nduka Junior, and Saviour Isaac proved decisive, with Stephen Amankona scoring a consolation for Ghana.
