Juventus aim to secure a free transfer of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah amidst interest from other clubs.
Serie A giant "Juventus" has surprisingly taken the lead in the competition to sign "Liverpool" forward Mohamed Salah on a free transfer, according to new reports.
This season, the "Liverpool" star has been in tremendous form, contributing 17 goals and 13 assists in 18 Premier League contests. Arne Slot’s men sit atop the table, marking an excellent start for the Dutchman as Jurgen Klopp's successor.
However, Slot’s sole issue is the unresolved contract situations involving Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk, with all three players able to leave the club for free in the summer. They are also free to converse with foreign clubs about pre-contract agreements unless the "Reds" can entice them with a better offer.
Over recent months, Salah has subtly hinted that this could be his final year at "Anfield" unless the club improves their contract terms.
Speaking earlier this week, Salah stated, “It’s my last year at the club, and I want to do something special for the city. The last six months. There’s no progress [on contract talks]; we are far from any development, so we just have to wait and see.”
Paris Saint-Germain has also shown interest, reportedly making a substantial offer for him to move to the French capital in the summer. However, a Spanish outlet claims that Salah is almost certain to leave, and "Juventus" has surprisingly taken pole position for his free transfer.
The "Serie A" outfit reportedly 'officially joined the race to sign Salah on a free transfer this summer and have immediately jumped to the top. Battling with scoring issues, "Juventus" sees Salah as the superstar to revitalize their fortunes and are confident about acquiring him.
