Prospects of Islam Chesnokov's transfer to "Hearts"

Islam Chesnokov might join "Hearts"

Islam Chesnokov, a key player of "Tobol" and the Kazakhstan national team, might join "Hearts" this winter. The club's head coach, Nick Crichley, noted that the deal is not yet finalized.

The potential transfer of Islam Chesnokov, leader of the Kazakhstan national team and key player of "Tobol", to Scottish "Hearts" might take place this winter. Acting club coach Nick Crichley commented on the potential deal, emphasizing it is still far from completion.

According to him, their club is linked with many players in January, and numerous speculations and rumors relate to potential transfers. The coach assured that the club is actively working behind the scenes, discussing several candidates, including Chesnokov.

"Hearts", champions of four Scottish leagues and eight-time holders of the national cup, currently occupy the penultimate, 11th place in the standings. Last season, the 25-year-old Chesnokov became the top scorer of the KPL, scoring ten goals in 21 games.

Currently, Islam is training with "Tobol" in Turkey. His contract with the Kostanay club is valid until the end of 2025.
