The breathtaking artwork is unveiled in preparation for the inaugural FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup™ in Africa, occurring from 1 to 11 May 2025. This evocative poster draws its inspiration from vintage postcards, portraying the host nation's dynamic culture and the delight of beach soccer.
Seychellois schoolchildren will join the excitement by taking part in a nationwide coloring contest next year. The official poster encapsulates the essence of this competition's debut edition in Africa, blending the nostalgia of receiving postcards from loved ones with the joyous summer vibe of Seychelles' beaches.
In the foreground, a local boy juggles a football, sharpening his skills with the aspiration of one day playing in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup™. Meanwhile, the pink rocks, flawless sand, palm trees, and clear waters create a perfect scenic backdrop. Rich in hues, energy, and warmth, the artwork communicates Seychelles' vibrant musical culture along with the uplifting spirit and energy of beach soccer.
To mark the unveiling of the new poster, a nationwide coloring contest has been announced to kick off early next year for Seychelles schoolchildren, allowing them a chance to win tickets to the event. This first-ever FIFA tournament in Seychelles is set to take place from 1 to 11 May 2025 in Victoria on the island of Mahé. Eight of the sixteen teams have already qualified, including previous titleholders "Portugal", "Belarus", "Italy", "Mauritania", "Senegal", "Spain", and "Tahiti". A trio of qualifying tournaments will wrap up in March in the Bahamas, Chile, and Thailand to decide the remaining eight spots.
