Super Eagles' forward Cyriel Dessers showcased an incredible performance coming off the bench, scoring twice to aid "Rangers" in their overwhelming 6-0 triumph against "Kilmarnock" on Thursday night in the Scottish Premiership.

Neglected in Nigeria's recent AFCON 2025 qualifiers, Dessers made a statement, adding shine to an already dominant victory.

Another Nigerian, seasoned defender Leon Balogun, started for "Rangers" and helped solidify the defensive line.

"Kilmarnock" withstood constant pressure for 36 minutes till the deadlock was broken by "Rangers" captain James Tavernier, connecting with a precise Ianis Hagi assist in the 37th minute.

The second half became a scoring spree as "Rangers" unleashed relentless offensive waves.

Danilo doubled the lead in the 53rd minute, again assisted by Hagi, while Hamza Igmane made it 3-0 just two minutes later.

The visitors fell apart as Sam Cerny struck a fourth goal in the 61st minute. Dessers then entered the play in place of Jefte, and his entry immediately invigorated the "Rangers" attack.

Eight minutes post-entry, he celebrated his first goal; the Nigerian striker wasn’t finished. In the 77th minute, he skillfully converted a perfect cross from Tavernier, grabbing his second and "Rangers"' sixth goal.

The 29-year-old forward continues to impress in Scotland, accumulating six goals in 12 league matches. His prowess extends beyond the league with four goals in three Cup matches, displaying his knack for finding crucial goals. In the Europa League, he has scored once against "Olympiakos". Across all competitions this season, the prolific striker appeared in 22 games, contributing an impressive 11 goals and three assists.
