"English Premier League" referee David Coote has been dismissed by the refereeing body PGMOL following a thorough examination of his conduct.
Recall that last November, 42-year-old Coote was suspended by PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Limited) after a video circulated on social media, capturing him making derogatory remarks about "Liverpool" and the former club manager Jurgen Klopp.
A new investigation commenced two days following publication of photos in the newspaper, which reportedly were taken during the European Championship this summer. The footage showed Coote inhaling a "white powder" via a rolled-up US banknote.
"David Coote's actions have been deemed a serious breach of his employment contract terms," stated PGMOL in the release concerning the referee's dismissal.
Additionally, Coote is entitled to appeal the decision to terminate his employment.
